Welcome all!
This is obviously the first posting for "the fall of icarus" blogspot.
I hope for this to become a gathering point for anyone that enjoys reading and wishes to discuss their reading with other avid readers.
What I am hoping to achieve is a site where people can come together to talk about and discuss what they feel are the positives and negatives of whatever novel they have just explored.
I will be posting a different novel for all "subscribers" to read roughly every month.
To kick things of the first novel will be "The secret history" by Donna Tartt. I will set a deadline (or more of a goal) for all readers to finish this novel by the 15th of January 2009. I would also like to see reviews and opinions of the novel by the 31st of January 2009. Any reviews of other queries can be e-mailed to me at thefalloficarus@live.com.au. I will be posting reviews and any general commentary of the novel on the blogspot and hope to hear from any keen readers interested in joining the blogspot.
That's about all for now so anyone reading this please pick up a copy of the the "The secret history" and start reading!
